  3. Finish: "The part that needed a human was ... because ..."
  4. Save your reflection with the chapter worksheet.

Your activity / Right here

Bring a notebook. Begin below.

The activity is included on this page. Work on paper or in your own document; keep your first attempt and the evidence you checked.

Luna's Unplugged Break

Luna says: dogs don't scroll. No phone. About 30 minutes.

Watch real work happen. With permission, observe or shadow someone while they work: a store clerk, a coach setting up practice, a relative cooking for a crowd, a custodian, or a librarian. Or do a real task for someone: rake a neighbor's leaves, help a younger student practice reading, or take over a family chore for a day.

Afterward, write one sentence: "The part of this work that needed a human was ______, because ______."

Values Check

Imagine your manager says, "Paste the customer list into the chatbot. It'll save us an hour." Which of your core values guides your answer? Write the sentence you would say, kindly and clearly.

Exit Ticket

One thing I will keep human this week, and why:

Pause & reflect

What changed in your thinking?

Write one sentence in your notebook. Name what you checked, what you chose, or what you want to explore next.

Read the video transcript

Read along, pause, or return to an idea. This transcript follows the selected lesson video.

Hi, I'm Luna. My job is mostly napping and guarding the couch. Yours will be more interesting. Here's your challenge. With permission, watch someone work for thirty minutes. A coach, a clerk, a cook, a librarian. Or do a real job for someone: rake leaves, or take over a chore. Watch for the moments when they decide something. Those are the moments a machine can't own. Then write one sentence. The part of this work that needed a human was, blank, because, blank. Paws off the phone. Go watch work happen. See you next chapter.

Learning without an AI account

Follow the demonstration, pause before each answer, and do the reasoning on paper. Discuss what you would ask, how you would check it, and which decisions would remain yours.
