Your next moves

Make the lesson yours.

  1. Spend 30 minutes outside without your phone or headphones, in a setting permitted by your instructor or caregiver.
  2. Walk, sit, look, and listen. Let your mind wander without trying to be productive.
  3. When you return, finish: "The thing I want to protect is ..."
  4. Put that sentence at the top of your Human Agency Plan.

Your activity / Right here

Bring a notebook. Begin below.

The activity is included on this page. Work on paper or in your own document; keep your first attempt and the evidence you checked.

Luna's Unplugged Break

Luna says: dogs don't scroll. No phone. About 30 minutes.

Go outside with no phone: a park, a backyard, a walk around the block, or a bench at school. Do not try to be productive. Walk, sit, look, and listen. Let yourself be a little bored.

When you come back, write one sentence: "The thing I want to protect is ______."

Put that sentence at the top of your Human Agency Plan.

Values Check

Reread your Core Values statement from Chapter 2. Circle the value your plan protects most. Underline the value that would slip first if you stopped paying attention. Add one line to your plan that protects it.

Exit Ticket

One thing I will keep human this week, and why:

Pause & reflect

What changed in your thinking?

Write one sentence in your notebook. Name what you checked, what you chose, or what you want to explore next.

Read the video transcript

Read along, pause, or return to an idea. This transcript follows the selected lesson video.

Hi, I'm Luna. This is our last challenge, and if you ask a dog, it's the best one. Go outside. No phone. Thirty minutes. Walk, sit, look, listen. Don't try to be productive. Be a little bored. Leave the headphones home too. Let your mind wander wherever it wants. Dogs are experts at this. When you come back, write one sentence. The thing I want to protect is, blank. Put that sentence at the top of your Human Agency Plan. Thanks for walking with me all semester. Keep noticing, and keep your paws off the phone.
Before you use an AI tool

Follow your course or institution's rules. Use an instructor-approved tool that permits your age, and meet any required consent conditions. Keep names, contact details, school records, and other private information out of prompts. Use fictional examples when you can.

Learning without an AI account

Follow the demonstration, pause before each answer, and do the reasoning on paper. Discuss what you would ask, how you would check it, and which decisions would remain yours.
